PASTOR REFERRAL NETWORK GROWS UP, MOVES OUT
Summer 2006 - This vital ministry of recruiting Godly pastors to serve churches in our denominational setting and tradition as well as providing a referral for churches seeking evangelical leadership, has outgrown the limited resources of the BWF National Office in Candia, NH and will move this summer to a new home under new leadership. In May, the Eldership of Byfield Parish Church, seeking the will of the Holy Spirit for the church’s relationship to the United Church of Christ, unanimously received a vision from God to recruit and refer evangelical pastors into the pulpits of the United Church of Christ. Providing such training has long been a vital part of Byfield’s mission. They have mentored and sent dozens of very effective evangelical pastors and renewal leaders from seminary into the UCC over the last three decades. As a result, the congregation renewed its commitment to remain in the UCC and enthusiastically endorsed the establishment of this critical ministry.
We anticipate with excitement that the Byfield team will enable this ministry to grow with renewed energy and new vision under the power of the Holy Spirit.
